Kay Kerr Walker
Kay Kerr Walker, a native of Houston, moved to Victoria, Texas in 1978. Shortly thereafter, she began her service to the community by serving on various arts and cultural boards, school boards, corporate boards, and the county hospital board of directors.
Appointed to the Board of Regents by Governor Ann Richards in 1993, Mrs. Walker served through 1999. During her term, she chaired the Facilities Planning and Building Committee and the External Affairs Committee, and served as Secretary and Vice Chair of the Board.
Mrs. Walker continues to serve the University of Houston Victoria by participating in the Presidents Regional Advisory Board and was the recipient of the University of Houston Presidential Medal in 2000.
Mrs. Walker holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College. She continues to work with area cultural organizations both in organizational development and fund raising.
