VC/VP of Student Affairs Appointed
Dear UH System Faculty and Staff,
I am pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Kittle as the next University of Houston System vice chancellor for student affairs and University of Houston vice president for student affairs. His appointment will be effective Jan.17, 2024.
Kittle joins UHS and UH from University of Texas at Arlington where he served as senior associate vice president for student affairs for five years. Prior to joining the UT Arlington, he served in student affairs leadership positions at High Point University, Auburn University and Clemson University. A consummate professional, he holds a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Auburn University, and a bachelor’s and master’s in business administration with a concentration in management from PennWest California.
As vice chancellor/vice president of student affairs he will provide leadership, strategic vision, organization and administrative oversight for the UH Division of Student Affairs and general oversight for student affairs across the UH System, which serves more than 75,000 students. With his nearly 30 years of experience in the field and proven track record, I look forward to him furthering our UH System student success goal and UH’s vision to become a top 50 public university.
I would be remiss if I didn’t thank the 16-member Search Committee co-chaired by Senior Vice President Raymond Bartlett and Senior Vice Provost Teri Longacre for their leadership and dedication in this outstanding search. It has taken several hours of work and service, and the entire UH System and UH community appreciate your efforts. Thank you.
With warm regards,
Chancellor, University of Houston System
