Sole Finalist for UHV President
Dear Faculty, Staff and Students –
I am pleased to announce that Robert K. (Bob) Glenn has been named sole finalist for the presidency of the University of Houston-Victoria. Glenn, who has served as president of Athens State University since 2008, will become UHV’s next leader, pending approval from the UH System Board of Regents.
We are fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and industrious administrator fill this important position. His impressive track record in higher education will strengthen both UHV and our entire UH System. Previously, he held positions as vice president for student affairs at Middle Tennessee State University and dean of students at Missouri State University. This strong background in student services, coupled with his invaluable experience already serving as a president, prepare him to provide the enlightened leadership required for UHV’s continued development into a destination university.
He will succeed President Vic Morgan, who is retiring after admirably leading UHV since 2014. We owe him our gratitude and thanks for a job well done. I would also like to thank former UHS System Regent Roger Welder and Dona Cornell, vice chancellor of legal affairs and general counsel, for co-chairing the search committee and to express our appreciation to the faculty and community members who participated in this process.
For more information, please see this news release about President Glenn’s appointment.
With warm regards,
Renu Khator
Chancellor, University of Houston System
