The Office of General Counsel provides specialized legal services, in the area of construction law, to the University of Houston System and each Component Institution. These legal services include:

• drafting and negotiation of contracts for construction and for professional design services;
• development of standard and model contracts;
• advice and counsel regarding construction disputes and other construction matters;
• monitoring and coordination of construction litigation referred to the Texas Attorney General;
• dispute resolution procedure representation; and
• advice and counsel regarding new and innovative methods of project delivery.
